The Bible should never be boring. Huddle kids will learn through games, scripture memory, lessons, crafts, and of course having FUN!!! in a SAFE, kid-friendly environment! Expect to hear a lot of laughing and playing, too. Your children will leave the Huddle asking when they get to come back!
Kids who are involved with the larger church have a greater chance of staying in church as adults. That is why adults worship alongside kids on the first Sunday of each month and for the first 10 minutes each Sunday before heading off to the Family Center. Kids (and adults!) think it’s a lot of fun!!
INCLUDING THOSE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Bridges desires to see each person and family integrated in order to build relationships, grow in their faith, and serve in the church and community. We have an integrated buddy system for kids with special needs, and we are in the process of creating a room filled with low-sensory activities. In either case, your child will have the attention of a dedicated and qualified volunteer knowledgeable in how to best care for your child and their needs.
CARING FOR FAMILIES
Families are important to us. We want all our families to feel comfortable with our care. EVERYONE in the family is welcome to join us in the Huddle, be it to help your child acclimate, to see what’s going on, or volunteer. We look forward to meeting you!
If you and your child would like to visit, please message us. Someone from our team will contact you. We want to create the best care plan possible. Your child’s safety is our top priority!
Safety is our number one priority. In addition to a secure check-in process, our volunteers undergo a background check before serving. Many of our volunteers are teachers in the community as well.
Our volunteers are committed to serving. Seeing the same faces consistently really creates an environment that allows you and your children to build a relationship with other families as well as our volunteers.
Nathan and Candace Bee have been leading the children’s ministry at Bridges since 2017. Together they have 3 children, a 15-year marriage, and a love for Jesus and each other that continues to grow. They also love going out for ice cream (without the children!) They are both teachers. Nathan is a teacher for kids with special needs a local elementary school, and Candace is a language arts teacher in an inclusion classroom at a nearby high school. Both have family members with special needs. Because of what they’ve experienced in their own families, they believe that ALL children are a gift and ALL children have a gift. It is their desire to encourage families, teach kids how to use their gifts, and to share the love of Jesus.
